Annual Events & Activities
Independence Day (July 4) is celebrated in Toquerville with a Town breakfast and patriotic program. The elected and appointed officials of the Town serve up a hot breakfast to all comers at the City Park pavilion. The patriotic program features talented speakers, musicians, dancers, and any others who care to share their memories or talents. The morning ends with games for the children and visiting on the tree shaded grounds of the City Park.
Pioneer Day (July 24) is planned by the Toquerville Mormon community members. A parade through town is usually first on the day's agenda, followed by a program on the City Park grounds. Memories of the town's early days as a Mormon mission are recounted and stories told. Games, face painting, and good food usually follow. Some years a meal is served and an evening dance is planned.
